GALE WIND is 1:1 recreation of a classic Ming Dynasty Jian .
Superior heat treatment: Hardness 54-55 HRC. Blade rebounds to true after bending, Cut bamboo with ease. Hand polish to smooth soft shine and sword sharp edge. Fittings Industrial grade precision cast stainless steel fittings. The hand guard is in the Ming classic “Lingzhi” mushroom shape. The pommel is in Ming classic cumulus cloud shape. Handle wrap in white ray skin with overlaying blue flat cord wrapping The pommel is secured by threaded nuts instead of historical peening methods to enable self adjustment by the owner should the hilt expand and contract over seasonal temperature and humidity swings. Scabbard Furniture grade “Chicken Wing” Wenge hardwood with stainless steel scabbard mount.
